We love this campsite. No clubhouse, just fields and a play area which is how camping should be.
Nice clean site, the showers were excellent and having a family shower room was great for the kids. The adventure playground was a hit with the children plenty of room to run around, shame about it being underneath the flight path of Cardiff airport. Having a 747 going over at 45 degrees at 6 in the morning was not fantastic.
Fantastic camp site!Easy to locate, great price and all round perfect camping experience. Decided to pick Happy Jakes to introduce a newbie to camping and it didnt disappoint. Getting there was really easy and the welcome pack waiting for us made it quick to locate the pitch and get set up. The toilet and shower block is really clean, warm and tidy. The showers are lovely and warm, great when its a been a cold day out. There is a fridge if you need to keep a few things cool and a large washing up area. We went during the week so it was a little quieter but other campers were friendly and the site quietened down in the evening around 22:00.Loads of places nearby to visit and great coastal walks with stunning views over water. All in all a great location and we will be going back again!
Very friendly and extremely clean site. Very well organized with spotless facilities. Large area for kids to play and a large field for dogs. Hopefully we will be visiting again soon.
We love visiting Mandy, Mark and the children at Happy Jakes. We always get a warm welcome. The pitches are the biggest we have ever stayed on. The showers and toilets are always clean. There is plenty of room to walk the dog. Lots of places to see in the local area.
