5-star reviews from fake profiles, website falsely claiming being on a Good Garage scheme, bad reputation from what I've heard around town, nearly killed my transmission, lots of negative reviews with similar complaints on work not done/overcharging. I would recommend reading other negative reviews before coming here.
Avoid like the plague - ripped me off deliberately and systematically, and damaged my vehicle into the bargain. Gained judgement through small claims, and, mysteriously, DATSC had gone into administration - although clearly still trading. You have been warned. One start only because you cant post 0
STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE. Worse than one star to be honest. Do yourself a favour and stay well clear of DATSC, the standard of workmanship is the poorest I've ever experienced. They inflate prices without any notice, promised free collection and delivery of my car, then charged me 150 for delivery. Promised me my car back on a certain day, I stayed at home waiting all day, car didn't turn up - was told my car had gone to Birmingham instead. No apology offered, and still charged full price when car was collected myself from their garage two days later. Got quoted 600, when I was called and payment demanded from me over the phone, the bill was 1500. No notice of this, they just did the work (to a very poor standard) then billed me. To add insult to injury, the problem I had with the car was still there, later fixed by Audi main dealer for 440. Audi were appalled at what DATSC dos to my car. I'm surprised Trading Standards haven't closed them down yet.
A really pleasant return to 'old school' standards of service. Polite, helpful and knowledgeable staff, lots of contact concerning prices and progress. The repair was to the gear change mechanism and when the car was returned the only visual way to tell it had been worked on was that the interior was cleaner than when it went in! Competitive prices coupled with excellent service. What a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend this company!
