Going to see a film is really great,but the caf facilities aren't as good as I personally would want. Hit drink of coffee is basically make your own with a pkt of instant along with milk pots n have to make it yourself with the hot water provided n sugar etc. I feel that if you've gone to a Venu you want better refreshments beforehand or possibly during an event. Why can't these places have proper coffee making machines etc? Some of us do not drink coffee unless it's decaffeinated,so our provision for a hot coffee is totally limited. I only drink decaffeinated on my doctor's recommendation! Very frustrating. Also they say caf will close once film starts,so no provision for getting any drinks afterwards or halfway through. Shame,as it would boost sales for the premises. Just my personal viewpoint, that's all.
A great local centre...great as a music venue,cinema and meeting place. Licensed cafe and bars. Friendly staff and ample free parking
Spacious hall with good seating capacity but the sound system in the hall is not that great ..
Beautiful old building. We went for a film screening and sat upstairs, which is old fashioned theatre seating. Downstairs seating is on chairs. Very reasonable prices and a varied programme. No lift. If it's cold you can have a blanket!! Well worth supporting.
Been here many times over the years. Been visiting recently for the cinema. Its far better than i thought. Downstairs is relaxed with a bit more lighting great for little ones or people with disabilities. The upstairs is for as you'd use a regular cinema. Always clean. Staff are lovely and its cheap !
